We need a reformation of semantics. I hear people say the same thing as you said regarding customs “ oh that’s just semantics”. But it’s like, no, semantics matter. To dominate means to draw glory out of a thing, which means the meaning of a word doesn’t get deconstructed and change, but that its meaning and usage are increased. There are more conclusions, more implications, and so it’s glorified. That part about the wine being a glory to be extracted is just,MUAH, freaking mint. But it got me thinking. My pastor just preached on the parable of the vinedressers. And part of that story is that, when the master hired these guys, he didn’t hire them as criminals. They were normal. But somewhere in that timeline, they began to think “why the heck are we here, these are just grapes, what’s the big deal”, and so they hated the master. They had failed to use their imagination, and so, technically speaking, they became retarded. They were glory retardant. And because of that, they could only bring forth death, hard things. Our hearts are not the only thing that hardens. It’s like the difference between the words domin(ion)ate and DOMINATE. Because we hardened our imaginations and disregarded the glorified semantics, the word hardened itself against us. Our job is to extract the water from the stone in faith, but we haven’t.

Bruce Lee was right, be like water.
Right. We're in a fight for the dictionary!
Maybe you could describe Adam’s task in terms of a Cathedral… (has connotations of ‘throne’ and ‘crafted glory’)
Cathedrify?
Cathedrize?
That’s good!
