I often have to remind my wife that the Orthodox "doctrines" of baptism and the Trinity, etc. don't save. We are first saved by Baptism, and the Trinity, etc. and we have Doctrines to explain expost facto, what is this baptism that can Save us? Who is this Trinity that can save us?
I still hold to an idea that without the regeneration of the Holy Spirit (born of the Spirit/born again) we are Christian "still borns" and so I prayed for my daughters to breathe 🙏 to cry out 😭 as "live born" babes in Christ. They are all Alive in Christ.
