Is “pride” the right word? When is pride not a sin?

Pride has a few meanings. Excessive opinion of one’s self is one definition. A person that arouses pleasure\satisfaction through a relationship. Which is what the Father says at Jesus’ baptism. So, maybe there’s a better word because of that other definition, but it is the right use of that one definition.

Thanks. It’s one of those things that I have pondered for a while. “Taking pride in one’s work” or “I am proud of you” seem to be generally good. What is weird is when people are given an exalted position (like CEO) and say they are “humbled” when they are really proud (in a good way?).
